Start a New Hobby in the New Year at District Clay Center

Looking to pick up a new hobby in the coming year? How about pottery? The District Clay Center is a dedicated ceramics center where they provide all the pottery education resources your heart desires. Whether you’re a seasoned potter or a hobbyist looking for something to entertain yourself in the winter months, you’ve got options.

For those looking for an immersive experience, opt for the 10-week workshops where you start with the foundations of a certain form of pottery and work your way up. They offer when classes, casting and mold making classes, and hand-building classes on an alternating basis. Check out what’s coming in future months on their website.

To try it out to see if you like it, pop in for one of their One Shot classes. These are one-off classes offered on Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. An instructor, plus eight students per class, will work through the basics of wheel throwing. If you’re a seasoned potter, they offer free open studio time on Sunday evenings! Plus, you can browse the gallery of artist exhibits for inspiration. There’s a little something for everyone to express their creativity in the way that feels right at District Pottery Center.
